The Vine Trust and IKEA work together promoting a project known as 390, so named as IKEA uses the internal code '390' to refer to written

The current project provides a minimum of 12 weeks work experience for students, providing a platform on which to build. |

Developing a social enterprise community
We have collaborated with Eastside Consulting to form 'TradeWalsall' a Social Enterprise Support organisation.
With funds from Walsall's Neighbourhood Renewal Fund, the aim of this programme is to stimulate enterprise and business growth in Walsall through social enterprise. |
|
|
Diversity and accessibility
We will reach out to under-represented communities and ensure that all local individuals and communities have access to our programme of support.
Social Impact Measurement and Evaluation
We will provide social impact measurement tools for local organisations based on best practice and evaluate the social impact of the support programme itself and share the results. Diagnostics will be available for 30 organisations to assess their needs throughout the programme.
Local Knowledge
We will root this programme in the local community through The Vine Trust, Walsall Dial, Walsall Housing Group, Walsall Black Sister Collective, Asian Women's Group, The Light House and invite social entrepreneurs to help us design some initiatives (example: "Walsall Labs")
Sign-posting and cross-referencing
We will be linking local social enterprises with new business opportunities within their communities and outside, we will be linking public sector and private sector into the collective endeavour of building a vibrant social economy in Walsall. External partnerships ? with funders, social enterprise networks and with 3SC we will accelerate this regeneration.
Continued Social Enterprise Support
We will create a sustainable support programme that mixes funding sources and
enables local enterprises to have regional and national potential.
Sector penetration
We will reach out to a wide cross section of the community in Walsall: existing social enterprise managers, young people and future social entrepreneurs, vulnerable people, local faith groups, community anchors and the traditional third sector. We will also engage larger organisations that may find benefits in exploring social enterprise as a new model of delivery such as housing associations, the PCT and local government.
